An X Banner Stand is a great way to get a really low cost portable pop up displays system which allows you to change the graphics as often as you like without purchasing a new frame and is extremely lightweight and easy for one person to assemble.
Take a look at the video at the foot of the page, this demonstrates the assembly of an eco-friendly x banner, using a lightweight bamboo frame.
An X Banner Stand is Easy To Assemble
This type of banner display provides an ideal display solution for many applications as it can be used at Exhibitions and Trade Shows as well as when you are giving a presentation, to provide an eye-catching display in your reception area or board-room or even to use as a point of sale advertisement/sales tool.
No tools are required to assemble the X banner stand which gets its name from the X configuration of the tension pole supports behind the graphic that give the stand its strength and stability.
The graphic banner attaches by means of eyelets so it is just about impossible to get it wrong! The eyelet fastening keeps the banner tensioned on the frame and displays the graphic beautifully. With this method, you could easily have a different graphic for each day of an exhibition or trade show, featuring a different offer.
Because of the tension on the eyelet holes and the fact that the graphics panel is not protected in transit as it would be in a retractable banner stand, Vinyl is the recommended material for the banner.
For transportation, the banner graphic is rolled up and stored with the disassembled frame in a carrying bag that is usually supplied when you buy a X banner stand and included within the price.
Another advantage of X Banners is that because they stand on three feet, not four, (like an easel), they can be used on an uneven surface very easily and remain stable. This also makes the floor area the banner stand occupies smaller than many other graphics display solutions which allows you to maximise every square centimetre of your trade show display area – as most space-only stands at trade shows are sold by the square meter, this is vital!
How To Assemble An X Banner Stand
The video below shows how easy it is to set up one of these stands.
I have found this type of stand on sale online at up to 1200 mm in width and 2000 mm in height. This size is ideal as a stand-alone banner, as an exhibition backdrop, you may prefer a series of the 800 mm width banners, all of which could be fitted with different graphics panels as individual images or each one with a graphic that forms a complete image backdrop when two or more X Banners are put together.
The framework supporting the banner is constructed from aluminium and fibreglass or carbon-fibre and weighs only about 1.5 kg.
The recommended printing density on the graphics panel is 720 dpi to give a bright, photo-quality, crisp, clear image with maximum impact from a distance when visitors are approaching your exhibition stand.
Pros and Cons of the X Banner Stand
By comparison to pull up banners, the ‘pros’ are that an X Banner is less expensive and lighter in weight and the graphics panels are extremely easy to change, the ‘cons’ are that the graphics banner is more likely to be damaged in transit as it is not enclosed in a cassette and it does occupy more space in transit and storage.
